My Work
2013
My work is a mixed medium of drawing, printing and sculpture. It moves in a manner representing life, essentially regrowth and regeneration. The form of an organism beginning at conception or germination, through the process of growth and natural aspects affecting this. Ice and water feature as  natural aspects enabling, or prohibiting this growth. The flow of the work should represent the continual cycle of regeneration, through prohibiting or enabling factors, essentially the story of life.

Palau Guell Barcelona

I visted the Guell Palace on one of my mapless wanders around the city. It is designed my Antonio Gaudi, one of his commissioned works. The facade is so fascinating with it's intricate iron bars, twisted and welded into interesting designs. Each room has it's own character and nature, with such interesting design aspects. The space is extremely functional, yet still with Gaudi's exotic theming. What amazed me the most is the building's roof. It is an uneven surface of tiles, with randomly placed chimneys, each with an unusual conical top and Gaudi's famous mosaic decoration. You are invited to take a journey through the building, ending up on the roof and wandering amongst these pillars, as if in a forest, encouraging imagination and exciting the inner child.

Pinky's Beach, Rottnest Island WA

I went to Perth this year and visited Rottnest Island, a small tourist destination just off the city of Fremantle. The island is ecologically sustainable with untouched beaches and dunes. This shot was taking while standing on the rocks. It looks as if a human has not touched it, compared to the beaches of Sydney, clean sand, tall dunes and wild plants. Native Fauna run wild around. This is the exact cyan blue colour I saw. Truly a beautiful spot and I hope it remains this way.
